We visit
Komarna
as often as we can, and you may actually spot some of us on the
pictures
on this website - well - not Jan, he is always at the wrong end of the
lens - so here you have a picture of him..
When you visit us during summer, there is a good chance of meeting some of us - except Winnie and Jan. They prefer to come in May and October when the weather is cooler and still very nice.
Our housekeeper, Vanja Babic, is a long time resident of
Komarna. She lives
with her family close to Apartment Tedo, takes good care of our guest,
and makes sure that the houses are clean and in perfect condition. She
is available around the clock and is really appreciated by us and
through
the feed-back from our guests we know that she is an asset that we must
take
good care of.
In
2008 we started a travel agency in Denmark,
Komarna Rejser, where
we focus on packaged tours and holiday rentals in South Croatia. If
you buy more than one service from us, it is considered a packaged
tour and your money is guaranteed and protected by the Danish
foundation Rejsegarantifonden.
Responsible Tourism
Tourism can
be a great advantage to local communities. It provides income
and gives a positive exchange of cultural values. Our approach is a
total
dedication to responsible tourism. All the income we make from renting
goes back into the local economy in the form of taxes, salaries and
local
purchase
of goods.
When you rent an apartment from us, you are protected by our business principles and - maybe just as important - you are protected by the law in Croatia, which is very strict with companies operating in tourism.
Our apartments are inspected several times each year and the Tourist Authorities make sure that we follow all the rules set out by the government for companies working with apartment rentals.
We have a comprehensive guidebook in Apartment Tedo where our guests can read about local culture, history and customs and where you get an introduction to the Croatian language.
